The rules of the road, written for humans. By using uniceum.com or our services you agree to these terms.
Uniceum connects learners with verified student tutors for one-on-one educational sessions, and connects institutions with our tutoring network. We are currently in our founding cohort phase: matching is done personally by our team, and features described as coming soon are exactly that.
When you apply to tutor or request tutoring, the information you give us must be true. Our entire model rests on verified, real experience; misrepresenting your qualifications, exposure, or identity is grounds for immediate removal from the platform.
Tutors and learners agree to treat each other with respect, to keep sessions on educational purpose, and to follow our safeguarding expectations (see the Safeguarding page). Uniceum may decline, pause, or end any match or account where conduct falls short of these standards.
During the founding cohort, session pricing is agreed at the time of matching and displayed pricing on this site is indicative. When we introduce online payments, these terms will be updated with full payment, cancellation, and refund provisions before any payment is taken through the site. The First Walkthrough Guarantee: if you tell us within 24 hours of your first Case Walkthrough that it did not change how you think about your subject, we will refund that session in full. The guarantee applies once per learner, to the first session only.
We verify tutors carefully and stand behind our matching, but tutoring outcomes depend on many factors and we cannot guarantee specific grades or exam results. To the extent permitted by law, including the Australian Consumer Law (which provides guarantees that cannot be excluded), Uniceum's liability is limited to re-supplying the relevant service or refunding what you paid for it.
The content of this website, including the Case Walkthrough method materials, belongs to Uniceum. Tutors retain ownership of their own lived experience and stories, and grant us permission to feature the profile material they submit.
These terms are governed by the laws of Queensland, Australia. If any part of these terms is found invalid, the rest remain in effect.
