Privacy Policy

Plain language, because that is how we do everything. The short version: we collect only what our forms ask for, we use it only to run Uniceum, and we never sell it. Ever.

What we collect

When you submit a form on uniceum.com (a tutor application, a tutor request, a waitlist signup, a partnership inquiry, or a contact message), we collect the information you type into it: typically your name, email address, study or professional details, and what you are looking for. We do not collect payment details through this website. Our forms are processed by Netlify, our hosting provider, and delivered to our email, which is provided by Google Workspace.

How we use it

We use your information for exactly one purpose: operating Uniceum. That means reviewing applications, matching tutors with learners, replying to your messages, and, if you have asked to be on a waitlist, telling you when we open. We do not use your information for advertising and we do not build profiles of you for anyone else.

What we never do

We never sell, rent, or trade your personal information. This is not a legal formality for us; it is a founding commitment of the company. Uniceum exists because trust between humans is our product. Monetising your data would destroy the thing we are building, so we do not do it.

Who can see it

Your information is seen by the small Uniceum team who need it to do the work described above, and it sits within the systems we use to operate (Netlify and Google Workspace, both of which maintain their own strict security and privacy standards). Where a match is made, we share with your tutor or learner only what they need for the session: first name, subjects, goals, and availability.

Your rights

You can ask us at any time what information we hold about you, ask us to correct it, or ask us to delete it. Email admin@uniceum.com and a human will action it within a reasonable period. We handle personal information in accordance with the Australian Privacy Act 1988 and the Australian Privacy Principles.

Children and young people

Where our services involve people under 18 (for example through Uniceum Prep), we expect a parent or guardian to make the request and remain the point of contact. See our Safeguarding page for the full picture of how we protect younger learners.

Changes

As Uniceum grows, this policy will grow with it (for example when we add accounts and payments). We will always keep it in plain language, and material changes will be noted on this page.
